Year End Meeting Additional Agenda Items
A couple of key items have been added to the April 8, 2010
Year End Meeting.
First, Council will be recommending to the membership a reduction of the Executive Council from 9 members down to 5 members.
The Council’s recommendation is based upon the following;
1. There is not enough work for 9 council members.
2. There are too many people to keep in the communications loop.
3. It has been too hard to schedule meetings, when you are trying to coordinate 11 people’s schedules. (9 Council plus two Staff)
4. Difficult to obtain quorum as you need a minimum of 5 council members in each and every meeting.
Secondly, the EVA will be accepting early team registration for the 2010-2011 season at the year end meeting. You may pre-register your team provided you;
1. Submit a personalized cheque for $100 dated that day.
(default deposit cheques handed out at the meeting,
endorsed or signed over will not be accepted)
2. This cheque will be Non refundable.
3. This cheque can not be post-dated.
Pre-registration packages will continue to be mailed out in early July and there will still be the deadline date of August 19, 2010 to guarantee your spot in the EVA.
